Proxxima resin systems are an ultra-low viscosity component that allows for flexibility in coating formulations, bringing potential cost and application advantages. Fast, while still tunable, curing provides coating application efficiency by vastly reducing the time of service.

Proxxima systems are nearly 100% reactive and do not require formulation with carrier solvents due to their low viscosity, meaning lower volatile organic compounds (VOC) losses during application than coating formulations based on typical thermosets. These unique resins can be the primary component in a Proxxima resin-rich formulation or formulated in combination with other chemistries to create hybrid coating formulations that combine the functional benefits of multiple chemistries in a single coating solution.

This project marks a major step forward in railcar protective coatings. APC’s innovative TriFLEX system featuring Proxxima polyolefin thermoset resin technology results in a high-performance, single-application coating that has exceptional anticorrosion and UV resistance.
